Our bake shop makes products with peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, eggs and wheat. The River Valley Technical Center Culinary Arts Program is more than just cooking. Students are
exposed to how food and nutrition relate to good health, the economic study of how prices are set for commodities in the future markets; the cultural study of regional and international cuisine, political influences of food that are imported and exported; environmental impacts of certain farming and livestock practices. Many more topics are addressed in class that influence our daily lives. Bon Appetit!

The students run the Culinary Arts Program, baking, cooking, and table service. The cafe is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM . The cost is $8 per person and $5 for retired senior citizens. This includes soup, salad, entrees, dessert, and beverages. The cafe accepts cash and checks only. Gratuity provides for future student activities.
