Spring 2024 CLNA RVTC Community Member Survey

Dear RVTC Community Member,

The River Valley Technical Center seeks your assistance in completing a brief survey, a pivotal aspect of our Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA). The CLNA is the cornerstone for crafting our local Perkins Grant application and guides future decision-making.

Perkins, a federal grant program, disburses funds through the Vermont Agency of Education to all career and technical education centers in Vermont. For the River Valley Technical Center, this translates to an annual allocation of approximately $140,000. The CLNA is a crucial tool for directing the spending of each CTE center's Perkins allocation, mandated for all career and technical education centers in Vermont, as well as nationwide, to be conducted every two years.

To fulfill CLNA requirements, we are conducting surveys across six distinct stakeholder groups: Current Students, Faculty and Staff, Employers, Parents, Community Members, and High School Students. We kindly invite you to participate in the survey tailored to your stakeholder group, accessible through the link provided below:

The insights gathered from this survey, in conjunction with data such as Labor Market Information, Program of Studies, Size, Scope, and Quality Assessments, will be pivotal in shaping the areas of emphasis for the Perkins Plan until 2027.

Your participation is instrumental in ensuring the success of this project, and we sincerely appreciate your time and input.

Thank you for being an essential part of the River Valley Technical Center community.

Respectfully,

Scott D. Farr

Superintendent/Director
